Note from Megaphone – Safety Comes First!
Is it worth it to risk your life for a cool photo?
The hiking season is back! It surely is a good time to take nice photos from the hill to showcase our beautiful Hong Kong under the perfect weather. However, the number of accidents has been increasing these years as there are many people stepping outside the original trail for photography, or even ignoring the safety signages and climbing to dangerous spots just for a cool picture. For some people, that “cool picture” became the last photo of their lives.
We hope you understand that stepping outside the original trail might destroy the vegetation on the hill and intensify erosion. It is not worth hurting nature or yourself just for a photo. More importantly, you might not be just risking your own life, but others’ safety as well. Therefore, please be a responsible hiker and remember safety comes first.
